Social Programs at Personal Advocacy Service (PAS)

Our Social Programs are designed to support community participation through creative and engaging activities. These programs offer participants a chance to have fun, express themselves, and foster a sense of belonging and spiritual growth.

We currently offer three main activities from our Morley Centre: Tuesday Arts and Crafts, Thursday Dance Classes and Monthly (every last Friday of the month) Deaf Social Nights.

Creative Community Workshops

Our Creative Community Workshops are a fun and welcoming way to learn new skills, meet new people, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Delivered in partnership with Aespire, these hands-on workshops offer a variety of creative and practical activities throughout the year, including art, gardening, cooking, movement and seasonal projects.

Dance Program

Join us for our free Thursday morning dance classes from 10:30 to 11:30 am, led by Darryl Davenport from Ballroom Fit. Darryl is trained in working with people of all abilities and creates a fun and welcoming environment. Our classes include a mix of seated dance, movement games, and a variety of music styles. We sometimes add drums, tapping sticks, and even limbo to help everyone explore rhythm, build confidence, and connect with others.

Each class is designed to support confidence, community, and friendship—building a true “dance family” for participants of all abilities.

Registration and Attendance

Deaf Social Night

PAS is happy to welcome Deaf Social Night to it’s new home at Morley. Started by the Catholic Ministry with People who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the group gathers every last Friday of the month from 6-8pm for a light meal, fellowship and great conversations.

The sessions are facilitated by Rachel Boon and Geoffrey Scott.
